Well more or less something to document.
Following situation:
accidently created two subprojects on a release branch.
Some times later trying to commit thoose new files does not work. (Message was something like: Can't add files to a branch --- which is not a restrinction by cvs IIRC)
Nonetheless this does not worry me.
Reverting the project tree back to the trunk, check in is also imposible.
Reason was that a file CVS/Tag had been created in thoose new directories. So the gui still complains.
After removal of that CVS/Tag file, commiting worked well.
By the way, even so working with pushok-cvs-proxy isn't always smooth, I love it. Whenever MS decides to destroy my sources, I revert them.
So I like to grab the chance to thank you guys!
Cheers Andreas
BTW.: please consider converting the documentation to a PDF. or make it a wiki ? So foreign langage support can be added/improved. Its always hard to guess to german translation of a gui knob.
BTW2: I'm thinking to plan a course about applying version control to a windows project. Im a consultant and have to earn a living, do you thing there is a market in germany? Would you like to add a contact info for courses teaching your software? If so, contact me.
Have a nice day
