svn: The system cannot find the file specified

( SVNSCC , VS .NET, Latest, WIN 2000/XP  )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 14 Apr 05 04:00 Updated: 20 Apr 05 04:00
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 20 Apr 05 04:00 writes

The problem appears because svn cannot find the ssh executable (secure
shell). You should define the SVN_SSH environment variable and point
it into ssh client that can establish password less connection with
your server. This can be "TortoisePlink.exe" from Tortoise, plink from
putty package or ssh from cygwin project. Please check this link from
ore details:
http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/docs/Komodo/3.1/komodo-doc-scc.html#config_ssh
Alternatively you can use another protocols (https for example),
since they not require any 3rd party tools.

Hello
Here is the log file. I had to change username, password and server address
because of company policy. Everything else is unchanged.

Here is the debug dll: http://www.pushok.com/files/PushokSVNSCC.zip
Download it and unzip to overwrite existing. Then repeat the problem
and sent the debuglog.txt (that you will found near the dll) to me.

Can I send the debug dll to you, which produce debug log? This will
allow to resolve issue quickly.

Can you send us the command which you type and output that SVN shows
to you?
--> Aleksandar Dragojevic (user)  at 14 Apr 05 04:00 writes

Hello
First of all, thanks for your quick anser.
I get the same error message. I tried adding username@ before machine name,
also no success.
Do I need to configure svn client in some way to use ssh? Tortoise just
asked for password and
I was able to connect (I am mentioning Tortoise because it is my only
experience with svn clients).

Can you try to launch svn.svn.exe or either svn_svn.exe from the
"svn" subfolder of program installation folder? Will they work?
--> Aleksandar Dragojevic (user)  at 14 Apr 05 04:00 writes

Hello

I downloaded svncss proxy installed. But when I try to login to repository
I get the following message: "svn: The system cannot find the file
specified".

I set correct username and password, and I can connect to my repository
using Tortoise SVN client with equivalent settings.

svn+ssh://argus.pinsoft.com/pinsoft/svn/bn

I tried reading help and searching web but with no success. Any ideas?

Aleksandar
