"Refresh Status" bug in CVSSCC Proxy 1.3.050419

( CVSSCC , PowerBuilder, 1.3.x, WIN 2000/XP, UNIX  )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 20 Apr 05 04:00 Updated: 21 Apr 05 04:00
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 21 Apr 05 04:00 writes

As long as you switch off option "Strict checkout status" plug-in now
consider file as "modified/checked out" when it modification date
different with date stored in "cvs\entries". While real "cvs edit" or
"checkout" command not applied for this file.
This option need to be switched off if you _for some_ reason need to
modify file externally outside IDE and without "cvs edit". CVS allows
this but this is not good practice.
On each "refresh status" PB can regenerate the object text files, and
as result change their date. And then plug-in things that file is
"checked out"
I believe that for PB this option should be always switched on.
Few info also "determine need update or out of sync" requires extra
more time. It is not needed very often and better to switch it off.
For PB much important option "Determine checkout by some one else
status", which is not so slow.
All other option seems to be ok.

Igor,
attached are the screen shots of "CVS options" and the powerbuilder
source control option. keep in mind that this behavior occurs on all
objects - those checked out by me, checked out by other developers OR not
checked out by anybody after doing a "Get Latest Version..." using the
clean copy option. thanks

I tried to simulate this here, and cannot repeat this. It will hard to help
you about screenshot of options.

The fact that you see this warning is normal. That is because file
really not been checked out.
Probably there is error with status definition. Can you send me
screen shot of "CVS options" of plug-in and PowerBuilder source
control options?

testing the latest bug fix release of CVSSCC Proxy (1.3.2_050419) and
whenever the "Refresh Status" is executed, it changes an object (not
checked out) to be checked out. then when attempting to "Undo Check
Out..." sometimes the check out is undone, other times not undone. here
are the lines from the log -
PushOk CVS Proxy Warning: >>> CVS Warning >>> It is possible, that files
shown bellow not uncheckouted. Probably they not correctly checked out. Use
'get clean copy' instead.
