question about sharing 32bit and 64bit CVS/SVN plugin

( Common )

Of course the IDE determines the plug-in version but in the case I'm
currently looking into (having two bits versions of the same IDE), one
might run into the problem.
Anyway - just wanted to know if this is intended and known or not.

Thanks for the fast answer!

64-bit version of the plug-in will not work with 32-bit IDE, and vice
versa. In this case plug-in version is determined by the IDE, and not OS.
Not easy to imagine a situation in which users will work with same files
from various bits IDE .

Hi!

Just for my information:
I just recognized that your 64bit version of the CVS SCC plugin uses a
different "provider name" than the 32 bit version.

Since the "provider name" is also saved in files, this means two people -
one having the 32bit version of the plugin - one having the 64bit version -
cannot work on the same file (easily).
Is this intended?
Wouldn't it be possible that both versions use the same name? From it's
usage (either from a 64bit application or a 32bit application) it would be
clear anyway which one to use.

Thanks in advance.
