Problem with \

( CVSSCC , VS .NET, WIN 2000/XP, CVS NT 2.x >= 2.0.58  )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 29 Nov 05 11:00 Updated: 01 Dec 05 12:00

First issue can be partially caused by the usage of the plug-in of
incorrect version. All programmers shoul use plug-in version 2.0.x. Usage
of version of 1.3.x with CVS NT server can cause described behavior.
For secodn issue, yes you doing right. Unfortunatly delete and remove
monitoring functionality is enough tricky, and sometime it raises fales
event. You have to review them and cancel as needed. You can also switch
monitoring completely if this is bother you.
And the last issue, you not need to think which files need to be added to
CVS and which not. VS .NET does this for you. I.e. it "knows" what should
be placed to CVS and what not.

I've setup some new projects in CVSNT. Myself and the other developers can
access the modules and files just fine using tortoise CVS for example, but
when trying to "Open from Source Control", although I get a tree view list
of modules and directories when clicking the ... after the module textbox,
another developer just gets a completely unstructured list of files (no
tree structure).

Also, when I am trying to "Open from Source Control" with a completely
empty sandbox area, it alwys prompts me to "Open Solution", so I open it,
then it tries to remove the sln and csproj from the CVS, so I cancel it.
Is this OK? I don't want things being deleted from the CVS inadvertently
by your proxy.

Also, should I put the .webinfo file in the CVS, or should I allow the
prompt for the virtual directory so the programmmers can choose their own
virtual directory? If so, should that virtual directory already exist
before doing their first checkout from CVS?
