No Login Button in 1.3

( SVNSCC , VB 6.0, Latest, WIN 2000/XP  )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 17 Mar 06 03:00 Updated: 31 Mar 06 03:00
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 31 Mar 06 03:00 writes

Well, then this is known issue of neon library which uses the default
system name and ask for other one only when fail connect with default.
This thing appears in SVN 1.3 and as I know in Tortoise (1.3) also.
I'll let know when this be resolved.

Our Subversion server installation is on a Windows PC using Apache
security.
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 31 Mar 06 03:00 writes

1.3 should be much faster, so if you not reject us lets try to
find reason. My next question is which authentication technique you
use. Is this windows domain authentication (sspi), i.e. your server is on
Windows PC?
--> Cameron/Contractor Conway (user)  at 30 Mar 06 03:00 writes

Our SVNURL is on our corporate intranet which is inaccessible from the
outside.
Everything works fine with version 1.2 of the SVN SCC Proxy so we may just
use that one.
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 30 Mar 06 03:00 writes

Which is your server version? Or better can you provide your SVNURL? Anyway
we'll not be able to login but at least check this on our side...
--> Cameron/Contractor Conway (user)  at 28 Mar 06 03:00 writes

I still don't get an authentication dialog, even if the configuration
option is checked.
When I try to Create a module I get "Error creating module:" then Bad
MODULE is on the dialog. If I click Check on the SNURL nothing happens. If
I click Create for the SVNURL I get "Only local repositories can be
created". This is fine, but I didn't know it would try to create an entire
repository! I thought it would just create a folder.
If I create the remote SVNURL folder using TortoiseSVN and try to add a
project without clicking any Check or Create buttons and I just click OK, I
get "Repository or module is not valid. Please correct this first."
Boy is this complicated!

http.
I will find out if our server configuration allows anonymous readonly
access.
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 28 Mar 06 03:00 writes

It is possible that your server configuration allows anonymous readonly
access. In this case it will not ask you for auth info untill first write
operation occurs. Wich protocol you use to access server (svn, http ...)?
--> Cameron/Contractor Conway (user)  at 28 Mar 06 03:00 writes

"Don't use cached authentication" was not checked.
Even if I do check it, I am not prompted for login.
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 28 Mar 06 03:00 writes

This dialog appears when you add project to source control or pull it.
http://www.pushok.com/help/svnscc/index.php?redirect=ui_bindsvn.htm
Any way try to switch on mentioned configuration option.
--> Cameron/Contractor Conway (user)  at 28 Mar 06 03:00 writes

Where is the "Bind to SVN" dialog? I can't find it anywhere.
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 28 Mar 06 03:00 writes

Ops, one more thing... The RC5 version has new option in configuration,
something like "Don't cache authetication info". You can switch it on and
Proxy will ask you the password and login each time you will open project.
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 28 Mar 06 03:00 writes

For VB 6 the User ID field in "Bind to SVN" dialog should be editable. You
should be able to put user name here. Does this not work for you?
--> Cameron/Contractor Conway (user)  at 27 Mar 06 03:00 writes

I am using VB6 which does not have an option for Tools\Options\Source
Control\Scc provider. I do not get prompted for login/password and I cannot
find a way to enter a user name for accessing SVN. I am also using
TortoiseSVN. Could this cause a conflict?
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 21 Mar 06 03:00 writes

Does the user name is correct? If not try to chamge it (or make empty)
using this information:
http://www.pushok.com/help/svnscc/index.php?redirect=basic_addtoscc.htm
Specifically:
[VS .NET]
First of all select a user name for accessing to SVN: open the
configuration
window Tools\Options\Source Control\Scc provider and specify the name in
the Login ID field.
--> Cameron/Contractor Conway (user)  at 17 Mar 06 03:00 writes

I do not get a login/password request and when I click the browse button, I
get a file system browse window with no place to enter an http URL.
--> Igor Pushkov (admin)  at 17 Mar 06 03:00 writes

1.3 does not require login button. It works via SVNCOM library which should
show login/password request dialog when needed.
Can you try to press "...(browse) button" instead of check and check
plug-in behavior?
--> Cameron/Contractor Conway (user)  at 17 Mar 06 03:00 writes

In the Add Project dialog, there is a text box for User name but no Login
button on my system. The login button appears just fine in version 1.2.
When attempting to Check an http URL, it just hangs.
