How to "Tag" or checkout on a "Tag"

Is there functionality to Tag files from within the IDE (i am using Visual
Studio.NET 2003), of do I need to launch another tool, like WinCVS to do
this.

Similarly, to check out on a particular tag or date, do i need to do this
from a separate tool, or is there a way to do this from the VS IDE?
