You can switch off this option in plug-in configuration window:

Option is called "use reserved checkout mode for bianry files".

Ah. Just discovered that the default behavior (somewhere) is to lock binary
files. Where is this configured? Can it be cleaned up a bit? I dont
understand why this file has a lock on it, when the first time I tried any
action was when I tried to checkout the whole project (to overcome the
other error about not being able to write to the project config file)

See attached for the error I received after trying to checkout a web
project that had the 'locked' status. The log output shows:

Reserved checkout files in: C:/Data/Projects/Equity Edge/VS
Project/SyncWeb/graphics
Locked : spacer.gif
Concurrent checkout files in: C:/Data/Projects/Equity Edge/VS
Project/SyncWeb/help

Is there somewhere that I can configure NEVER to use locking? How did this
file get locked in the first place? This is odd.
