Hello,

sorry for the late answer, I didn't got a info mail of your ticket system.

well, as far as I can see it happens in nearly every project, at least
because the workspaces consist of several subprojects. Hmmm, seems to be
every time the root folder of the .dsw . It just tested so far in VS6 and
eVC, as far we're using Ankh for the .NET version. This seems not to have
the trouble, which seem to be caused by the SCC API. Because it appears
very often, its quite annoying. It seems, that it can be sometimes resolved
if VS gets restarted and load the workspace a second time. But I'm not sure
if this is working everytime. If it's not reproducable for you itr would be
maybe an idea, to make this window optional and only print the status
messages on the log window. Or integrate an minimize button, as far as I
can see is the window still responding to user interaction. How about that
?

This is some sort of "floating" bug which sometimes appears for some
people. This is just window artefact (i.e. no any processes in hang,
just the window). How often you see this? Can you reproduce it?

Well,

maybe the connection is only somehow slowed down (but its completetely
local and no heavy traffic on the LAN). But since I've no problems of this
kind with other clients(like TSVN or svn itself) it must be a specific
SVNProxy problem. A kind of progress bar / activity info would be very
helpful. Or at least a working cancel button. Or a possibility to let this
work in the background, because working is still possible, but you have all
the time the status window on the screen...

Status Window
--> Florian Storck (user)  at 22 Nov 04 11:00 writes

Hi,

sometimes the Fetch Status window stays open and can't be closed with the
closed with the "Cancel" button. It's seems, that there is a timeout from
the network, but TortoiseSVN (or all other clients I tried) run fine.
Improved handling of timouts or network errors would be fine (or whatever
causes this problem). Or at least a working cancel button (UI is still
alive, but no reactions) for closing the window...

Anyone else with the same problems ?

Bye,
Florian Storck
