Thank you for your suggestion. Actually we use --verbose due to problem
which exist in SVN 1.0. As you know SVN support renames, and file in latest
revision can have one name, while in previous absolutely another. In SVN
1.0 it was importnat to submit file name which exist in that revision.
That's why we process output from verbose swith, and track the real file
name for each revision.
Fortunatly SVN >1.1 can accept latest (or even any) file name, and our
trick longer not required.
We put yout ticket to "ACCEPTED" state. This mean that we fix this and
notify you when this will be done.
Again thank you for your suggestion.

I am using vs.net with svn_proxy 1.17 and svn 1.14 on a fairly large
project (>7000 files). Several operations are incredibly slow, and I at
least identified one cause.

Scenario:
- In the solution explorer, I select "Compare Versions" from the context
menu.
- The selected file has seen 3 changes, however, Visual Studio/SVN Proxy is
busy for more than 10 seconds just to generate the list of file versions
(3)
- The actual call of the diff-tool is pretty fast

Reason:
Using sysinternals process explorer, I could see that svn proxy makes a
call to " svn.svn.exe --username "viehoever" --non-interactive log
--verbose
"svn://subversion/test_repository/development/trunk/1st_party/src/pool/pwagui/scqtpwa/modules/dqtpwarect.cpp"

This produces output of 30000 lines, listing all files that have been
changed in the relevant revisions.

What is really needed would be "--quiet" instead of "--verbose", generating
only the 7 lines of output actually needed.

I suppose this could be the reason for other inefficiencies of svn proxy
elsewhere.
