Checkout Not Working in 2.0 RC1

Actually 2.0 is designed for CVS NT > 2.0.58. If you plan to use older
server option "My server is CVS NT >2.0.58" at the "Server options pages"
should be switched off.

I just switched to the latest version of CVSNT (2.5) and the checkout seems
to work.

When I try to perform a checkout of a file it acts like it is checking out
but does not actually perform a checkout.
