Auto-Check out doesn't work properly

( CVSSCC , VS 2008, CVSSCC 1.5.x, WIN 2000/XP, x86, UNIX  )

The best way for you check-in all files and then install the RO flag
recursively on an entire folder of the solution.
Also try to switch-on "Checkout files readonly" option in the plugin
settings.

Yes R/W Monitor is running, I've done a Clean and Restart
Restarted Visual Studio

Tried this three solution with R/W Monitor:
* Set all monitored
* Add Specific folder
* add .pushokprops file

Doesn't work :-/

It seems that auto-check work for file that has already been checkedout
manually, but for other file when edit or save file, the file still stay
uncheckedout

Any idea ?

How can I see the R/W status ? in CVS Folder ?

Thanks for your help

VS 2008 auto-detects the need check-out by the presence of RO flag on the
edited file. Tortoise CVS, these flags are only removes, but does not
return after check-in. So VS 2008 thinks that the files are already
check-out and ignores this command. To address this issue we use SCC RW
monitor tool.
Please make sure this tool is enabled and configured to monitor your the
work copy of the solution.

PS : We use also Tortoise CVS

Hi,

We are trying the CVS plug-in for Visual Studio and we have an issue.
When editing a file the check-out is not automatic, we need to do
right-click on "Check-out".

But The VS.Net option is set to Automatic Checkout (see screenshot)

Note: For some file I don't know how, the automatic check-out works... very
strange.
