Upgrading to Visual Studio.Net 2003

( CVSSCC )

1. Not all editions of VS .NET support SCCI integration. SCCI API used
by IDE to access source control provider. If you do not have needed
edition we cannot make anything with this. We have enterprise
editition of VS .2003 and it work good.
2. Your license allows to use CVS Proxy on up to 3 PC. So I not see
reasons to use some remote or terminal solution. But even if you need
to use VPN there no any limitation there. When VPN will be inaccessible
some reason plug-in can work in offline mode (detached from cvs
server). We use offline mode to work on our laptops both on home and
office.

Hi all,

I am having trouble trying to set up SCC, and hence the proxy plugin,
in Visual Studio.Net 2003 (C++). I had previously had it set up in Visual
Studio.Net 2002(C++, C#,J#,VB et al). Any clue on what I have to do to get
SCC for VS.Net 2003(C++)? I am not getting any menu items relative to it.
Do we have to get all the other stuff we don't use (C#, J# and VB et al) in
order to get SCC.The doc takes two paths: VSS and Web Server and the Web
options set is missing. One further thought: Our installation of VS.Net
2002 had an enterprise component, whereas the VS.Net 2003 (C++) does not.
If this is the problem, is there a workaround?

It would be preferable to run VS.Net detached from a Windows
network/server connection. I have my own copy of VS.Net 2003(C++) and can
VPN into the IP network to access the CVS (UNIX) server and the database
(UNIX) servers. My Windows network connections available from my Work PC
are not accessible through the VPN and probably never will be. If I can
use your proxy with a standalone VS.Net 2003 (C++) installation, I can use
it the same on my laptop as I do at my work PC. Do you know how I might do
this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Carl Klapper
