I did not follow those recommendation the title seemed for server upgrades,
but I see client upgrades can also cause problems.

I removed local copy and reopened from source, and it now works.

thank you

Did you do everything from our recommendations when you upgrade a plugin?

I upgraded to cvsscc 2.1.2.5. I have a solution in VS 2008 with several
projects and after upgrading one project gives the error

"[update aborted]:authorization failed:server xxxxx rejected access to /cvs
for user xxxxxx"

All the other projects still work and they have the same sspi authorization
and when login in from cvsscc plugin it accept the password.

The user is administrator and has right to the files in the cvs folder. Is
this really the server rejecting?

And I also get a warning message when changing root from plugin, I never
got this message with the previous version:

Do you still want to save changes?
I upgrade to version 2.1.2.5 of cvsscc and I am getting a message I never
got before when trying to change CVS root:

"Changes which you did will not have effect. If you really need to change
bindings in current working copy then you have first to use Pushok CVS
Tools.
This utility will adjust cvs service folders (/cvs) properly which plug-in
cannot make for you.

Do you still want to save changes?"

I used the utility to change root from project and still cannot use CVS
