Sharing of one file in different project

( SVNSCC , PowerBuilder, 1.4.0.x, WIN 2000/XP  )

Hello Pushok

If you would not support file externals, do you plan to do so?
When would that be?

And do you plan to upgrade to the 1.7.x svn libraries soon?

Kind regards

You can do it using "Externals Definitions". Please refer to Subversion
documentation for the detailed description of this feature (Chapter 3.
Advanced Topics -> Externals Definitions).

Our plug-in supports svn:externals property (currently only the old format
supported, used prior to SVN version 1.5). So you can "share" some folders
between multiple projects.

For example, you have a project with a library:

+-Project1
\--Lib

Project1 stored in the repository at URL svn://server/svn/Project1, and Lib
is a subdirectory.

You have also another project, say, Project2, and you want to share the Lib
directory between them. You should set svn:externals property on Project2
directory with the following definition:

Lib svn://server/svn/Project1/Lib

You may have to re-checkout Project2 from the repository to get a local
copy of Lib directory. As a result, you should get the following directory
structure:

+-Project2
\--Lib

But Lib here is a "virtual" directory, that actually connected to the URL
svn://server/svn/Project1/Lib.
