PushOKRWMon.exe keeps running all the time and eats a lot of CPU

( CVSSCC , VB 6.0, 1.4.x, WIN 2000/XP, UNIX  )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 01 Mar 08 03:00 Updated: 05 May 08 05:00

Please try to use ZIP file.
pushokprops.zip
--> Skyworks Solutions Inc (user)  at 01 May 08 05:00 writes

The file you had sent as an attachment was saved as
".pushokprops.pushokprops[1]", which didn't help.
--> Skyworks Solutions Inc (user)  at 01 May 08 05:00 writes

It didn't help: Can you please try this?

Create a file called ".pushokprops" on Windows XP, exactly like this,
nothing before, nothing after. You will notice that windows gives you an
error as shown in the attachment.

Now, I can create ".pushokprops.txt" or ".pushokprops.pushokprops" file,
but that is not what PushOkRWMOn.exe is looking for. So, I still have the
100% CPU usage problem there, and its very bad.

Before you send me the solution, please try it on your computer and make
sure it works. Just curious - What do I lose if I configure in a way that
PushOKRWMon.exe never runs?

Thanks,
Nirav

You can edit and use attached file.
.pushokprops
--> Skyworks Solutions Inc (user)  at 04 Mar 08 03:00 writes

As I mentioned to you earlier, WINDOWS doesn't allow you to create file
with name as ".pushokprops". I could create a file called
".pushokprops.txt", but no just ".pushokprops". What is the filename
PushOKRWMon.exe looking for?
--> Oleg Akolupin (admin)  at 04 Mar 08 03:00 writes

You can use for it any editor and select "Save as ...".
--> Skyworks Solutions Inc (user)  at 03 Mar 08 03:00 writes

I tried to create a file called .pushokprops as suggested within the dialog
of PushOKRWMon.exe, but on Windows XP, it doesn't allow you to create a
file that starts with ".". Windows thinks that everything after the "." is
an extension of the file and that I haven't specified the name of the file.
What is the solution?

Unfortunately it happens sometimes on the first running of RWMonitor in
systems with large HDD.
We didn't find the reason yet. But you may configure it in such a way as
to scan only folders
with your working projects inside, so the number of files being scanned
will be decreased and RWMonitor probably won't "freeze".
To do it you should run RWMonitor once again after it has been run already
run it typing a command or
clicking on tha file "c:\Program Files\Common Files\PushOk
Software\SCC\PushOkRWMon.exe".
By means of arising dialog you may configure RWMonitor conserning your
requirements.
After completing configuration click "Cleanup and Restart" and be sure
that RWMonitor works correctly.
The "OK" button will close this dialog.

On my laptop where I have this CVSSCC running, PushOKRWMon.exe keeps
running even if I am not using the IDE, which is VB6.0. Somethimes this
process takes upto 85% of the CPU.
