CVS Proxy does not escapes \'@\' char in password while using external cvs.exe

( CVSSCC )
Type: Public Status:Closed Created: 09 Mar 05 03:00 Updated: 16 Mar 05 03:00

We did not find good way to resolve this. WinCVS uses so called "WinCVS
GUI" protocol, which is allow to solve this. Eclipse have it's own Java
code to work with ssh and pserver. We use cvs just as external exe.
We use pipese to redirect input/output threads. Unoftunatly the cvs login
command just grabs the keystrokes instead of getting chars from thread.
So, only they way for you is _not_ use the @ in password. Sorry.

This also fails in CVS Proxy NT: 2.0.RC1_050211
--> John (user)  at 09 Mar 05 03:00 writes

This bug does not seem to be resolved as stated in a previous message.

My PASSWORD contains the '@' symbol. CVS Proxy treats the @ sign as the
delimiter between the user name and the host name. This causes an invalid
host name to be created and I cannot log on.

Note that the password works fine when loggin in from Eclipse or WinCVS.

The error messages is:
Error connecting to host xxxx@linuxdev: No such host is known. (xxxx is
part of my password - everything after the @ sign).
