Changing server location

( CVSSCC )

CVS server location is not stored on any project or solution files
that are source controlled. That mean that information about server is
added to project into IDE generated files when you issue "Open from
source control" command. So, the most simple solution is to delete
project (or move) and then open it from source control from new
location. Sure, you will be need to check in all files into old server
location.
In place changing of server binding is more complex that suggestion
listed above. To change server binding you should:
a) Manually, or with some search/replace tool (VS .NET IDE for
example) you need replace content of each "CVS\Root" file to new
location. In this file just stored CVSROOT you type when connect to
CVS. This is physical binding used by CVS. After that you need launch
"File\Source Control\Change Source Control". Then unbind, and bind
again all projects.

In an existing Visual Studio project, how do I change the CVS server
location? I've moved it to a different server.

I've changed it with File->Source Control->Change Source Control but it
still goes to the wrong place. If I open File->Source Control->PushOK CVS
Proxy Properties, it won't let me change the settings.

Apart from a user level suggestion, can you tell me where the connect
string is stored so I can go and change it manually?
